Boxing day at the world's oldest football ground

Not only is Sheffield home to the oldest football club in the world in Sheffield FC, it has the oldest football ground too. You can find Sheffield Hallam's Sandygate Road ground in the well-to-do suburb of Crosspool, one of the highest parts of the city. They have been playing there since 1860.

It's quite an exposed location. Here in a game against local rivals Yorkshire Amateurs, a storm is brewing over the distant moors and the goal netting billows in the face of the wind arriving straight from the tops of the peak district national park.

The game ended in a one all draw, with 154 hardy souls in attendance.
