Watching planes go by
Finally getting down to blipping yesterdays.
Yesterday wasn't a good day. You get days when you find it difficult to motivate yourself to do anything. Having worked for 30 odd years and then relocating to a new country has it's downside sometimes. You find yourself alone in a flat and the walls start closing in on you.
Anyway finally dragged myself to the bridge in the howling wind. The good side of being here is that you can walk around freely with your camera and not be attacked, robbed or at the worst, murdered - as could happen in SA. While on the bridge a man started chatting to me and said he was from Pakistan and mentioned that you couldn't walk around there on your own and people had to carry guns. So I said that that was very much like SA. Busy reading two books, one fiction about SA before abolishment of apartheid and the other about a woman growing up in Saudi, both books written around the same time. Each with their own set of problems. Religeon and politics - no need to say more!
Caught the sunset and dhows coming back and then looked to the other side and caught a plane coming in to land. So going with that blip just for a bit of variety.
