A that Time of The Night

Evening all.

In this modern age, you can roughly predict what sort of telephone calls you get at various times of the day.

Morning calls are usually close friends and family who know your daily routine and habits,or things related to work.

Tea-time telephone calls are usually the preserve of the cold calling,"can i interest you in.." variety.

Early to mid evening tends to be friends calling up to arrange future events or moan about the problems that they have with their life and loves.

but then, after a certain time of night, when the telephone rings, a chill drifts across your soul, because you know, with a certain dread, that a phone call then, is either a cry for help, or very bad news....

1 am on the 2nd January 2011 was one of those times for us.
