"As cold as...

... a witch's tits in a brass bra." That's one of my husband's expressions; no idea where it comes from (it has sort of an 'old continent' ring to it, doesn't it?)or why it's so memorable, but somehow, it does feel fitting today.

Other than a quick mani-pedi session for my mom and me this afternoon, I didn't leave the house. Even stepping outside to have a smoke seemed a chore.

So what's this thing in my pic, you ask (or maybe not...): a very close up shot of a 1cm ball with tinsel spikes; the kind of stuff you toss onto a Xmas tree and it just stick there, all shiny and pretty. Found it under the sofa as we rearranged our living room into its pre-holiday shape :)
