Polar night over Greenland

I flew back to the Bay area today, and even though my flight was during the day (between 10-11.30am), it was pitch-dark outside for a while. We flew far north of the artic circle so we had polar night. That's how I was able to enjoy two sunrises and two sunsets within one day.
