Lonely...

This Christmas.

I harp on and on and on about how much I like the happy, speed of light nature of Christmas. I do also like, conversely, the dark and sometimes lonely sentiments behind the Christmas songs and messages. The dark red and gold decorations in Teviot Row Union. The sadness behind All I Want For Christmas [listen, it's there]. The thousands of turkeys slaughtered each year...it's all part of it too, right?
