Another one of my little foibles - a fondness for plants in jars or bottles (terrariums). You never have to water them, which is really good for me...

Stick some plants in a jar (ideally ferns or moss), put the lid on and watch them grow. I use stuff from the garden which means that little worms get in there too. I can sometimes see them slithering past...
