The Mount at Night

An evening blip of St Michael's Mount has been something I've wanted to do for a long while. The tide was out, however, and so I'd like to try this shot again when the tide is in more to experiment with long exposures and water.

You can see the lights of Mousehole (featured just before Christmas) to the right of the Mount. I can see these lights from my bedroom window a good 10 miles or so away.

The concrete path in the foreground isn't the causeway - I'll try a different angle to include this next time. I wasn't sure if keeping the path in the shot was too distracting. Criticism welcome.

This my first photo on Blip for 2012 and although I've wished many of you a happy new year individually, I'd like to say again HAPPY NEW YEAR! Wishing you all good things for 2012.

[Later edit: thanks for the feedback so far - I've added a cropped version withouth the path to my blipfolio here.]
