Far Scotia.

Been meaning to Blip this for a while - this is the painting I did for M for part of his Christmas present. I think he liked it! This is the boat that he went away on for a while, when he was training to be part of the merchant navy. Luckily for me, another offer came along and he now works on rigs instead - boats are pretty behind-the-times compared to rigs, and there were no non-emergency phones and no internet 70% of the time. Sometimes I complain about him being away just now, but whenever I do, I should really remember how good we have it now compared to how it was.

I love going down to the beach when there are lots of ships on the horizon: there's something about the shape of boats like this that I really love.

Today I've still been suffering with a horrible-sounding cough, and M finally persuaded me to go to the doctor's, who prescribed me antibiotics for a chest infection - that's why I've been feeling like someone's been sitting on my chest for the last few days! Hopefully I'll be back to normal soon :)
