Harris' Antelope Ground Squirrel

These little animals are only 6 inches long with a 3 inch tail. They have been scampering on my patio all day. Only found in Southern Arizona and northern Sonora, Mexico, the little ground squirrels have a high survival rate. They have only one litter a year of five to eight babies. It flips its tail up over its back and head, like a shade umbrella.
