Laphroaig

My new favourite single malt.
Laphroaig, pronounced La-froyg, is from Islay in the Western Isles of Scotland. It is richly flavoured and one of the most distinctive single malts. Purchasing a bottle allows you to become a "Friend of Laphroaig", granting you lifetime lease of 1 square foot of Laphroaig land on the isle of Islay. The annual rent is a wee dram of the whisky itself, which can only be obtained upon visiting the distillery.
As a result, a summer visit to Islay, Jura and the surrounding area could well be on the agenda...
