Sweet Child of Mine

Mickey Mouse

I know, it's Minnie, but Elizabeth insists that it's Mickey. My mum bought her this outfit. And in the blip, she's rocking Rebecca back to sleep. Lovely!

We had a bit of a difficult end to our trip, as Elizabeth wasn't very well.

On the Friday we met up with Margaret, Catherine, Michael and baby Alice for lunch. Both Elizabeth and Rebecca slept through lunch! Alice was far more lively.

We were assuming Elizabeth's sleepiness was due to later nights and running around with Robert, however she wasn't herself in the evening. And the next day she was even worse. Very clingy, snotty and extremely hot. And boy did she have mood swings! We got her to sleep at about 10pm, after having had quite a long nap late in the afternoon.

She really enjoyed the fireworks and liked her dress and the ears. She also discovered a love of crisps....

Rebecca on the other hand, was very sociable on Hogmanay. She had a grand time chatting away with her aunties. She even got a kiss from Robert! She's so much more vocal and alert during her wakeful moments. However, she prefers to sleep than be awake.

Jeff and I decided that we would go home the next day, a day early. We were exhausted and thought it would be easier to deal with Elizabeth in our own house.

The journey home was good, considering. Elizabeth slept for about half the time and was quite happy watching her new Mr Tumble DVD the rest of the time. Rebecca slept pretty much the whole way, and still slept well through the night.

Today (2nd), Elizabeth has been up and down again. She woke at 5am. We came downstairs and watchec Bambi (for about the 10th time) and both of us fell asleep after about 20 minutes. Elizabeth slept on and off all day. She's nowhere near as hot as she was, so I'm hoping that it's peaked and that she'll be better tomorrow.
