Handel's Messiah - Usher Hall staircase

I was at the Usher Hall today for Handel's Messiah. It's a venerable Edinburgh institution - there's a long interval and you bring a picnic lunch to eat - and some, such as EllaBella, even run to champagne.

My blip is of the new staircase which leads up to the Upper Circle (where we were sitting). Before, you had to go in the tradesman's entrance round the corner and there was no mixing with the cream of the Edinburghers who were sitting in the Stalls and the Dress Circle!
