Bentley 1928 4 1/2 litre saloon
Delivered to a Mr Shaylor in March 1928, this Bentley was one of just 655 of this type made. Whenever seen parked on a public road, a car like this attracts dozens of closet car enthusiasts, all pulling cameras from their bags and pockets.
The 4 1/2 litre was built with a Weymann wooden fabric body - much like some of the aircraft of WW1. This made it light, aerodynamic-ish and pretty darn fast. This type raced at Le Mans and won once and came second on a number of occasions.
Of course, the most sought after Bentleys are the 4 1/2 litres which have had a turbo fitted, known as the 'Blower Bentleys'. Expect to pay in the region of £1,500,000 for and example of one of these!
By the way, this isn't my Bentley - just in case you were wondering. I keep mine at home.
