A Feast of Leftovers....

.....we threw a wee 'come down' party for neighbours and friends last night and the tempo was just right; a moderate level of round-the table grazing and imbibing. Good to see some people in our house for the first time, in particular John, our '80 something' neighbour who hasn't been across our doorstep in our 10 years of living here. Rosco was a wizard with the freshly ground coffees; keeping a couple of people straight.

Later in the evening, persons unknown (some local hobos I suspect), set light to cardboard packaging in the communal bin store necessitating a visit from the lads and lassies from Lothian Fire Rescue. I think the store will need to close permanently this year; that's the fourth fire in five years. A topic of conversation with the Cooncil Better Communities people when I meet them this month.

A late start this morning for me, with tasty brunch then off to Cramond for a stroll along the promenade. New roller-blades, bikes and scooters were much in evidence. Back now for more leftovers and some bank holiday films on TV.
