The Crown

Packed Ben off this morning for his flight back to NYC. It was a very nourishing visit. I have loved our tradition of spending New Year's Eve together for the last three years. I suspect he might be other wised engaged next year so I really tried to enjoy every minute of his company. Which I properly did. He is one of the few people that can make me laugh at myself. I really love him for that. He does tease me about spending too much time with you folk but didn't even notice that I took off a day while he was visiting. For shame Ben! He won't be back in the UK now for many, many months. I am planning a trip home quite soon though. I will enjoy photographing him against the backdrop of my precious hometown.

We went off to Woodbridge to meet Uncle Mick for lunch today. He has been away touring and we haven't seen him in many months. It was a wonderful to catch up. He is bringing his bass tomorrow for a little jam with Alex. I hope to do a few shots of them in action if possible.

This is our lovely waitress Margo. She very graciously stepped into the adjoining dinning room where the light was more favourable so I could take her portrait. I loved her very sweet shy smile.
