Not just any donkeys...

...these are Newton St Boswell rescued donkeys, residents of the Borders Donkey Sanctuary, enjoying a life of leisure and luxury after escaping the hardships of who knows what donkey drugery.

We called in to say hello as we were driving past on the way back from Edinburgh after a new year celebration.

Thanks Will and Sue for a lovely few days and lots of top nosh.
