Chilly woodland walk in the sunshine

I did take a quick look at the car park for the sales at Ventura Park (Tamworth). It looked like hell so I just called in to buy a cut cut price printer - and headed off up to the highest point of Cannock Chase.

The woods that surround Castle Ring are marvellous to explore, even though they were a bit muddy this morning. Lots of families had also fled the commercial mania and were taking advantage of the sparkly light and gorgeous sun. Yes, it was cold, but we were all wrapped up.

If this is the New Year, it can't be bad !
