It started with a kiss

Daisy's first Christmas

The day started at 7:20 a.m. which was not too early. Georgia must have heard Daisy and I getting up and came down the stairs. We waited for Daddy and Lewis to get up, which was 8:10 a.m. and then we opened presents. Georgia's main present was an Ipod Touch, Lewis's present was a DFC tracksuit and Daisy got a trike. Santa was very kind to our house and everyone was happy with their gifts.

After a big breakfast, Gran and Granddad arrived and came with more presents. Daisy was very good at opening some of the presents after she got a helping hand of Mummy or Daddy tearing the first bit. However due to the volume of presents and her young age, she lost interest pretty quickly. Mummy and Daddy still had fun opening her presents and seeing all the lovely presents.

At 12:30 p.m., we dropped Georgia and Lewis off at their Mum's house and Daisy, Daddy and I went to the Invercarse Hotel to see Nana, Papa and Nonna. They were having their meal there and we popped in to see them before heading down to Dunfermline.

Gran and Granddad were already at Auntie Morag and Uncle Richard's house when we arrived. Fraser was excited to see us and opened up the presents we brought him. Daisy slept in the car so was full of beans when we arrived.

Daisy started to get sleepy around 3:15 p.m. so I thought I would put Daisy down for the sleep so that she was fine for the Christmas meal. However Daisy had other plans and was very restless. After an hour of rocking, singing and trying everything I could think of, Daisy was still unsettled. Daisy put my finger in her mouth which she often does to sooth herself when she is teething. However I got a surprise as there was something sharp inside her mouth, further investigation found a tooth. Santa brought Daisy an extra present without consulting Mummy or Daddy. Instead of sitting with everyone for her Christmas meal, Daisy sat in the sitting room with the television on and eventually fell asleep. The rest of the day, Daisy was happily playing and giggling and then suddenly bursting into tears. I felt sorry for Daisy as she was in pain and I couldn't take it away.

Daisy settled well at bed time and slept all night and woke up feeling slightly better for Boxing Day.
