CHRISTMAS LILLIES

I love the smell of christmas lillies at Christmas time. This year they were late flowering - two days after Christmas, the weather has been too temperamental for them to do their normal thing. So Christmas lillies at New Years!

Like all cantabrians we had hoped for a quake free year, but mother nature has had a different idea. Just an hour ago we had a 4.8 quake, just one more in a long line of them today. We are far enough away from Christchurch to not be bearing the brunt of the quakes, however, our house is a two story house, and the living quarters are upstairs. Believe me, you feel them a LOT more up there than on the ground floor.
