Wave Jumping

Once again at the stoke of midnight I find myself with my daughter at the beach so she can jump seven waves for luck in the coming year (a tradition she brought back from her year in Brasil) . We performed the same ritual last year while she was visiting us in Zihuatanejo, but this year the beach we choose was more crowded as the firework display was right next to us. You would think after doing this two years in a row I would use my camera with no shutter lag so that I could get her actually jumping one of the seven waves, but my point and shoot is so much more convenient in situations like this. Maybe next year I will be more of a photographer and use my other camera.
