Launching the year

I beg to differ.

As in previous years, indigestion caused by over-eating kept alcohol levels low enough to permit this morning to be bearable. The kids were obviously up far too early, but once they had ejected the grown up sleeping on the sofa, began a morning of telly, football and film making. A walk before lunch saw us just miss the torrential downpour, though the kids decided that was the perfect moment for a very wet football match in the garden.

Dinner beckons then, I hope, an early night before tomorrow's start on the long journey home.

Last year was definitely the year of the duff car(s) for us. Let's hope this year brings something less tedious.
