This is one of my favorite meals ever. Bagels, shipped from New York City, real cream cheese, lox and tomato. It would be perfect if there had been capers in the fridge, but I was unprepared.

2011 was, for me, a year of extremes, each day (and sometimes each hour) was fantastic or horrible with very little in between. It flew by in a blur with me feeling like I could never catch up, never do enough, never finish. Yet somehow I did manage to create and accomplish many things. Wife, daughter, sister, friend, artist, leader, volunteer. I tried to be the best I could be in each moment. I will try again.
