Why?

I'm not sure what it is about inspecting the bottom of the salt and pepper despenser that completly removes all common sence from my mind at that given time. I'm also not sure what it is that makes me have to inspect it in the first place. It's a routine and has been for a long while now, I will pick it up, turn it over and then stare into the minature metal grate whilst pulling the lever a few times. What's worse is that it's a complete shok to me when I put it back I realise that yet again I've covered myself in salt.

I don't do many stupid things but I think that this one thing that I do do could easily make up for that.

Does anyone else have this proplem, or somehting similar maybe?
