The First Sunset

The first sunset of 2012 was taken on the Moor of Alvie which is near the village of Kincraig in the Cairngorms National Park. The mainline between Perth and Inverness cuts through the Moor as does a section of General Wade's 18th century military road network. The River Spey marks the Moor's eastern boundary, with the A9 road running along its western flank.
