Happy New Year...

I thought I'd escaped my traditional New Year's Day 'Cracked Skull' hangover, but as I sit here waiting on my family arriving, staring vacantly into this light box that is my laptop I can feel it creeping in.

Tomorrow is the beginning of NO BOOZE JANUARY for me. I am looking forward to a month of clean living. Vegetable eating. Being calm. Taking up tapestry and reading by the window, while my quiet and well behaved family do wholesome things such as spaghetti picture making and jigsaw puzzles. Ahem.

Still though - I've got a heap of booze, an entire cheese board and a huge hunk of Christmas cake to get through first.
