Harbour wall

I'm trying to be a bit more adventurous with my cropping whilst I've got such great subjects for photography as I have here.

Here is the original image. It's a rather different photo, but appealing none the less. I'm going also going to create a New Year 2012 blipfolio, with my favourite non blipped photos from Portsoy and around.

Today has been pretty slow and lazy. The pace of life in the village is lovely. It really appeals. We spent most of yesterday evening hunkered in front of BBC2 which offered a retro Morecambe and Wise fest including the dramatisation of their early lives which won many plaudits but which we had never seen. We popped out at 1155pm for the bells and the excellent Portsoy fireworks. Amazing what a small community can achieve although the numbers of people viewing them suggested we weren't the only outsiders there. I was quite amused by some drunken revellers wandering up the road past the cottage at about 930am. They would have been the last ones standing in the Shore Inn which was promising to stay open until 1000am.

Back to work for the afternoon.
