Waterdrops on Poppy stem

Long tiring day but totally worthwhile.

Family in Timaru loved meeting the new members of the family and the little ones got to see their grandfather who came down from Christchurch to meet his grandson for the first time and cuddle his granddaughter whom he adores.

Lovely wander on Katiki beach on the way up and a well earned and most enjoyable coffee supped at the Cafe near the northern turnoff to Waimate. They do good food too but lunch was just a 1/2 hour up the road so we abstained!

Stopped at Butler's Berry Farm for a large punnet of fresh delectable strawberries and finally arrived in Timaru for lunch.

Trip home was broken only by a quick stop at the Waitaki River to give the canine a wander around and take a few photos looking up the river at mountains shroud in cloud.
