It's going to be a bright, bright sunshiney day to set off the New Year. These are the wonderful old windows of our sitting room here at Le Couvent. When we first moved here ten years ago people asked us if we were going to replace the shutters. They are ancient and inefficient and they don't fit properly, but I find them too beautiful to cast on the scrapheap.
