Glove PIE

This is the interestingly named piece of software that allows you to plug the Rock Band Drum Controller (amognst other things) into your PC and and map the pads to MIDI signals. Unfortunately after the initial excitement it was a bit of a let down as:

a) there is a lag of around half a second from hitting the pad to the sound coming out and
b) The pads are (of course) not velocity sensitive

Looks like I'll have to keep saving up for a proper set of MIDI drums then.

On a brighter note the Sun came out for a few hours this afternoon,though the rain was back later on as well.

I scanned an IR Shot from earlier in the week. I thought this film felt and looked a bit dodgy when it came out of the tank but on drying it seems to be fine, thank god. The IR film is comparatively expensive (£6 a roll as opposed to £2 a roll for normal film) and I hate to make mistakes with it.
