Celebrating

Today has been a very special day as Matt and I have been celebrating being together for five years. We had a lovely lunch at the Oxo Tower Brasserie which has stunning views across the London skyline and the Thames. It was also one of the places we stopped for drinks on one of our first dates. We sat chatting and reminiscing as the sky got darker and the lights across the city started to switch on. We then walked along the South Bank down to the London Eye and people were already getting their places for the fireworks even though it was only 5pm! There was a real sense of atmosphere and anticipation in the air and we carried on our walk along to Trafalgar square before heading home.

I'm not great with words (which is why I keep a photo journal) but I can honestly say I have had the most amazing five years with Matt. I never tire of spending time together, I have grown to be a better person with him in my life and I love him to bits.

2011 has been a great year for me. I changed jobs to set up a new team from scratch and I finally feel like I'm in a role that is stretching and challenging me. We moved into a penthouse apartment with the most amazing views across the city.We had a fantastic holiday in Mexico and have had great times with friends and family.

I cant remember I time when I have felt happier and feel so lucky to have so many great people in my life. Matt and I have decided to spend tonight together at home and I will be raising a glass to you all.
