Home is where the Home is.

I have lived in seven homes in my hometown of Scarborough, and all seven are in this image. (Also other homes in other places, but that is not today's subject).

Very different homes, in very different neighbourhoods.

What all have in common is being no more than ten minutes gentle walk from a view of the Harbour, around which are grouped the Old Town or Bottom End where I was born and where generations of my family were born, lived, earned their livings, married, raised families, died and were buried.

Over a thousand years of recorded history, and good evidence of a few thousand years of living and dying before that. So can we look forward with at least a little bit of confidence?
