Churchill Barrier
Relaxing morning then popped to Kirkwall for a few bits & pieces for our cosy little celebration tonight. Lunch & a couple at Helgis then stopped for a quick blip of one of the Churchill Barriers. The barriers were built in the 1940s primarily as naval defences to protect the anchorage at Scapa Flow but are now simply road links. Hopefully I'll get a better picture as the light was fading fast!
Hope everyone has a fantastic New Year & thankyou for your kind comments yesterday, much appreciated.
