Not another self-portrait
Today's Hollyoaks was a bit disappointing compared with last week's, but we persevered with it anyway. The British Grand Prix followed shortly afterwards. Rainy conditions made it a fascinating race, won by Lewis Hamilton, but really more lost by Ferrari thanks to some really bad pit strategy. It's all added to a tense and exciting championship season, with three drivers now tied at the top.
We'd contacted our friends in Bray last night about calling over to see them later in the afternoon, and they made things even better by throwing a brunch invite into the mix. We spent a fantastic time with them, including watching the final fascinating set of the Federer/Nadal final from Wimbledon.
I was back home around 11.00 pm, after a really great day and a hugely enjoyable weekend overall.
The blip? That's a portrait of yours truly, courtesy of Carl who liked the look of him seated in the arch of the freshly painted dividing wall in his downstairs room. The new colour looks great, and cheers up the room no end. We've decided it could be called 'Mango', but the silly paint manufacturer for some reason prefers to refer to it as I Know How To Boogie.
