Sad Remains of the Great Eastern
This is the over bridge at Reepham Station on the former Great Eastern.
Reepham was served by two station, the other being Whitwell and Reepham which was on the M&GN.
The later is now the site of a preserved railway and it has been suggested that this should be connected with the GER station round the former Themelthorpe Curve which was laid by BR when the M&GN closed in 1959 and there was still a need to connect the concrete factory at Lenwade by rail. This was the tightest radius curve on a UK mainline railway.
