Recooping!

This is our dear friend John who is recovering from yesterday's cataract surgery on his right eye. He will need to have his left eye done at a later date...but once they are all done he will again sing in his church choir---a long goal of his! We are happy that he will once again be able to join his choir soon. He has missed being an integral part of they have missed his booming bass.

John is a long time friend of ours---having known him since about 1978 when I met his wife who drove bus with me then. John was a postal worker for many years until he retire about 18 years ago. He was very active in his letter carrier's union and still participates in union activities and sings with the Seattle Labor Chorus. So rejoining the church choir will once again link him to one of his great loves---singing. We are glad he is recovering nicely and that the surgery went well.
