Manhattan Project
Many things happened today: including a whisky tasting extravaganza, the making and eating of a scrumptious Reggae Reggae variant of mince and tatties, the consumption of a brand new meringue based desert, and an understanding that today is the penultimate day of the year.
Penultimate, like plethora, being one of those words that are a pleasure to write, type, or say.
But today was also the day of the Manhattan project. My wife requested a cocktail. A Manhattan. I am not one to refuse a sensitively and politely constructed request.
Research. Travel. Purchase. Mix. Pour. Serve.
Apparently it's not *quite* right. Not *exactly* the right sweetness. Perhaps the wrong vermouth? Why, certainly darling. Don't drink it if...
