i'm happy to report that as i watched this little interaction - betty managed to right herself and landed just fine... i was a bit worried there for a moment - she looked like a huge blob coming in very quickly. it's amazing to me - that with a bit of twisting by a webbed foot and a wing... geese can adapt to conditions and land with no ill effect - while i stand on the ground, whispering encouragment and guidance that isn't really necessary... but makes me feel better anyway. then cheer for them when all is well - like i had something to do with it - looking around to see if anyone is nearby to have heard me... makes me laugh - their antics... my antics, too... it all makes for...
