Work on the farm
Report from the farm;
The work is going on well, though we are having more weeds. We are trying our level best to control them. We are looking forward to the arrival of the placements and interns from the Natural resources college to help a bit.
We don't know what we are going to do with Blue gums because they have reached the growing stage.
We planted Maize, Soya and Beans from Zambia.
The following were done from last week
Watering and weeding in the green house and surroundings
Weeding in the plots
Weeding in both orchards ( Road block and Lusangazi)
Tilling in plots
Slashing around the ponds and in drains
Spraying herbs in orchard
Transfering apple rootstocks from where it was planted into tubes due to water logging.
