Distillers' Fair

Once a year we have two days at work where different distillers come to promote their products and customers can get a wee taste of four when they do the tour. As I work there, I can go in for free and taste as many whiskies as I wish :)

Although my friend send me a text saying that she couldn't make it to the distillers' fair and I had to go all the way to South Queensferry to deliver the cake (in cold rainy weather!), I followed your wise advise and went to the fair anyway. The whisky seemed to clear my sinuses a little bit, haha!

I still have a blocked and runny nose and sound a bit nasal, but I'm feeling a bit better than yesterday. I ended up trying eight whiskies in total: Tobermory 10 and 15 year old, Smokehead, Ancnoc 16, Ben Nevis, Tomatin Decades, Tomatin 30 year old and The Tweedale Blend 12! Not too bad! I had lunch at Waverley station and then took the train to Dalmeny. Thank god I had a plastic bag over the cake! Back from Dalmeny, I went to the supermarket to buy the last bits I still needed for Hogmanay. Not doing anything big, just having a couple of friends around for dinner tomorrow evening. Back home and relaxing now.

So, another busy day!

Thanks very much for your kind comments on my cake! I hit Spotlight! :) I hope you all had a good day and that you have a great end of the year tomorrow! :)
