Last minute shopping

Walked into town to do a few last minute bits of shopping. The river was looking very grey and miserable and not many walkers around.

We ended up in John Lewis' furniture department by mistake (we were looking for toys!), but had a look at the sofas as we are still hoping to get a new one early in the new year. We did spot something that we liked and so will have to do some measuring. The temptation to just sit in the lovely quiet furniture department until closing time was strong....

Spent the rest of the afternoon wrapping, sorting and chatting. Despite our lack of planning this year, there will be presents under the tree for tomorrow and food in the fridge for our Christmas meal.
