Half Way
Chris went for his weekly long run today, and the children and I went for a walk. We bumped into him quite near our gate. He was coming to the end of 13 miles and looked in really good shape! He is halfway there now, though he won't actually run much more than 20 or 21 miles before the actual marathon.
I always say that Bushey Park is beautiful, but I think today, it wasn't at it's best. The sky was solid looking, the colour of milk. There wasn't a spot of sun, or shadow. It was freezing. Someone has gone mad with the strimmer and everything seems to have been cut back and trimmed. All the metal fences are exposed. It looks much less wild and rather flat. It makes you long for the green and yellow, wild trailing look it has in summer.
Went into Teddington to change Chris's new GPS watch, I hope this one is more accurate. Also bought Catherine's birthday present for her 50th tomorrow.
Watched The Fantastic Four with the children, which we all loved. More Devotional with Betsy as well. If my Mum knew how much TV we've been watching these holidays she'd say, 'you'll get square eyes!'. Why do parents say things like that?
