Another winter wonderland!

Took the kids, their friends and my husband on an impromptu visit to Hever Castle today.

The entrance to the maze has been transformed into a wonderful, snowy world, complete with deer. The weather wasn't brilliant but luckily we were in here when the worst of the rain bucketed down - it was lovely hearing the rain pounding on the roof while keeping all nice and dry. I wanted to stay in this magical wonderland but the others wanted to go and see in the castle so, as usual, I was outnumbered!

Can you see the black marks on my son's face? Last night, we thought the kids were being really good and watching a film nicely while we grown-ups finished our dinner in peace. What was actually happening was that my son was letting the girls put make-up on him - they drew all over his face with eyeliner and put blusher and lipstick on him until he looked like Aunt Sally from 'Worzel Gummidge'! We told him it was all gone, because he didn't want to be seen in public like that, then the lady in the Hever Castle gift shop said 'Who's been drawing on their face, then?' and he was horrified.

Hee, hee - hopefully it will come off eventually! :-DDD
