Catching up
While we were away I took about 300 photos, and since we came back, I've been meaning to print some out to send south to folk. This weekend has been misty and damp, so I've managed to stay in the house and catch up with doing that, and other bits and pieces.
The photos are of my sister-in-law, and my mother-in-law, who is 90, quite small and frail, and loves Ollie to bits. She's always encouraging him up on her knee, sharing her chair with him! He's about the same size as her, and is so gentle with her.
The other photo is of me with my parents. They were times when I was younger when I couldn't get far enough away from them. Now I hate living so far away from them and only getting to see them a few times a year, for fleeting visits, at great expense to them or me. As I get older I wonder how long they will be around and want to spend more time with them before it isn't possible.
Been a strange day, extreme highs and extreme lows. Luckily I have a super neighbour with copious amounts of patience and coffee and a lovely family atmosphere. Also the tennis was terrific - even for a non-sporting person like me!
Also, being the first Sunday of the month, we had mass in the Italian Chapel this afternoon and that always raises my spirits.
Looking forward to a better week ahead, for all blippers!
