Christmas Book Group meal (1)

Had our Christmas Book Group meeting tonight which traditionally also includes 'bring a dish' and a secret Santa. Experimented with a new recipe (vegetable filo pie) and was very pleased with the way it turned out and the nice comments about it from my friends.

We've tried to read a Christmassy book in December for the past few years. This year's choice (This year it will be different) was universally panned by everyone. A shame as some of Maeve Binchy's other books are a great read. Perhaps next year we should have a go with A Christmas Carol.

A lovely evening catching up with everyone and a good start to the Christmas social whirl.
