In a Pickle

Off work today so took Juno out later for a long walk round and up the hill. The wind was brilliant and I had the summit to myself as most walkers stayed low down. Popped into the stables for a chat with the horse ladies.

On the way back I got soaked with a horizontal shower, it was horrible.

Decided to just stay in and make tea. Leek and tattie soup, Armenian soup and roast duck all prepared and cooked. In between I pickled red cabbage, I got 6 red cabbages at Tesco for 10p each and salted them overnight to pickle today.

We had 2 extra bodies for tea, I managed to stretch the food to feed us all.

Just relaxed for the rest of the evening.
