The Original Bakewell Tart shop.

Took a trip to Buxton today. When we left Uttoxeter it was sunny day. By the time we got to Buxton it was blowing a hoolie with intermittant rain, which later turned to hail! My nice new hiking trousers performed most impressively, keeping me warm and dry, but Sav's jeans just got wet and cold, so we bought him a pair of new trousers like mine on the way back to the car. By the time we got there he'd also found a new wind and waterproof coat in the sales. Honestly, he's much more into shopping than I am!

We decided to leave Buxton behind us and drove down to Bakewell for lunch in The Original Bakewell Pudding restaurant. We came away with a Bakewell tart to eat later ( it would've been rude not too! ) and had a wander round.

Off out later to meet up with old school chums and watch the new Sherlock Holmes film, which I'm quite looking forward too.
