Many Hands

to do back-breaking work. These are all woman farm labourers in the neighbouring community of Skeerpoort. Their colourful clothing against the green spinach and mountains was an image I have wanted to capture for a while now. We normally come this way on the weekend and so today when I saw them working I asked Mr G to stop so that I could get out the car and take some good photos. If you look carefully you can see one woman (on the left) has her baby on her back as she works.

We drove through this scenic area today on the way to the Moto-X track. We drive through the farming areas of Skeerpoort and Hekpoort on our way to Krugersdorp. The route winds through the mountains and the views are magical. The Moto-X track was very muddy from the recent rains and so not much riding took place. We brought our picnic lunch home instead.

Afternoon naps were the order of the day as the teens keep us up late last night. I have put chickens in the oven to roast as I still have 8 mouths to feed tonight!
