White Tail Spider

I know this is not the best picture but I am going on the theory that I am using this as a journal and so not all my pictures will be great...
It also happened very quickly and I did not have a good camera to hand ( valuable lesson learned!)
This is a White Tailed Spider which was on my bedroom ceiling, I tried to put some perspective to how big it was by putting my trainer on the end of a broom handle and getting it in the shot!
This is apparently an Australian spider which sometimes bites, not what I wanted to hear just before bed! Thankfully my very calm flatmate got rid of it for me.
