Wet Dog Revisted

In the last 24 hours, approximately 2.5 inches of rain has fallen. This made for a perilous journey on the motorway today. While driving from Portland to Eugene, several lorries drove by in the adjacent lane just as I drove into standing water on the motorway. The combination resulted in hydroplaning and I briefly lost control of my car driving onto the shoulder of the road. Fortunately, I was able to quickly gain control of the car. Whew! Good thing I was wearing my adult nappies today!

Upon arriving in Eugene, I took my pup to the vet where she recieved her rabies vaccination. Afterwards, I took her for a long walk in the rain. She was quite happy when we finally returned to the car. She's now sound asleep next to me. Think I'll call it an early night as well.
